At Bartuf we are committed to the implementation of proactive control measures to help protect and sustain the environment for future generations.

We recognise the environmental impact of our operations and aim to minimise any resultant detrimental effects. We operate a policy of continual improvement in all aspects of our business including our environmental management system.

Good environmental performance makes good business sense for all and we encourage all the stakeholders involved in our business to make this a priority.

In delivering our commitment we will :-

• Comply with all relevant environmental legislation and regulations and take a proactive approach to future requirements and obligations.
• Prevent all forms of pollution to the surrounding local communities by continually reducing the environmental impact of our operations.
• Seek to conserve natural resources by minimizing use of energy and water in our buildings and vehicles.
• Eliminate if possible, then minimise waste in all our processes, and reuse, or recycle as much remaining waste as possible. Waste solids is the priority of focus having been identified as the largest environmental impact.
• Monitor performance and aim for continued improvement by the setting of objectives and targets for key environmental indicators.
• Educate, train, and communicate with all of our employees to ensure they are fully aware of the behaviour required to comply with our policy.
• Work with suppliers of products and services who have compatible policies for managing their impact on the environment.
• Update our environmental policy and objectives annually in consultation with all appropriate stakeholders.
